Pearce's first Christmas

This week MiMi's dear friend Mary Malone sent Pearce his first Christmas present. The tag said, "open when you get your tree up". On Monday we went down to the Farmer's Market and picked out our tree, that night we decorated it. I was so excited and ready for Pearce to wake up Tuesday morning so he could open his first present. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas so far.

Pearce's first Halloween!

Pearce had a very eventful Halloween week. We started off on Wednesday going to the church fall festival. He is obviously too small to do anything at any festival, but it is still fun to take him and stroll around!Pearce enjoying himself at the fall festival!

On Thursday afternoon we went to Portrait Innovations and had his picture taken with all the kids of the mothers in my Bible study. Wow! That was amazing! I think about half of them starting crying before it was over.

Friday we went to a Halloween playdate at the Fickling Farm and also a photo shoot by Miss Robin at work.

Today, Halloween day we went to the Jay's Hope Fall Festival, Strong Tower Fellowship Fall Festival and then to Halloween on Ridge Ave.! Wow we are tired! But we had fun, got a lot of great pics and made a lot of memories!

4 month check up

Today was Pearce's 4 month check up. He is 14 lbs 12 oz and 27 inches long! He is in the 50th percentile in weight and 97 percentile in height! We think he got the tall genes from John David's side of the family, his grandfather was 6'3"! John David says he hopes he doesn't get the nickname "Slim" haha!
He did great with his shots and has taken a few naps already today! Sweet boy!

Rice Cereal and Pumpkins

This past week Pearce had his first bite of rice cereal. He acutually really likes it! I had no idea what to expect, but I even had to get a bigger spoon while feeding him because the baby spoon was not getting enough in his mouth at one time and he was fussing!

This week will be full of Pumpkin fun. Today we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our carving pumpkins. One Wednesday we are going to the church fall festival and on Friday we are going to a Halloween playdate! Lots of fun!!!! Here are some recent picks.

Wow so much has happened

I cannot believe I haven't posted anything since August! Pearce is changing so much every day. He started rolling over last Friday, October 9th! When I wake up in the morning to get him out of his crib he is sleeping on his stomach! Oh well, there is no way now to keep him sleeping on his back. He loves to be on his tummy during the day as well. I lay him down on his back and when I turn around he is on his tummy just looking around!

Today I met Annette and Marvin to pick up the quilt she made for Pearce. It is so beautiful. I love the bright colors and Pearce loves it too. He spent forever just looking down at the vibrant colors! Here is a picture of him looking at it! So cute :)

I am going to get better about posting what is going on with the little guy! I promise.

Smiles and Sleeping

Pearce never ceases to amaze me! After lots of hoping and praying he finally slept through the night Saturday, August 22, one day before his 2 month birthday. I was so excited when I woke up and he was still sweetly sleeping! He is a pure joy and I love him so much! He also really turned on the smiles yesterday August 23rd!!! What a cutie!

Pearce Smiles

Here is the first documented photo of Pearce smiling. I have been working myself silly trying to get him to smile and finally he smiled long enough today for me to snap a few shots.

Today is August 19, 2009 and yesterday Pearce was 8 weeks old.

2 Months Old on Tuesday

Wow! I cannot believe Pearce will be 2 months old this coming Tuesday! He is so sweet and we are having a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of what Pearce has been up to.
Sitting in his Bumbo like a big boy!

He likes to hang out in the garage with his dad. I came home one day and I pull into the driveway, John David and Pearce are just sitting in the garage hanging out. John David said he was getting Pearce "familiar with the garage"!

Mommy and Pearce on the front porch.

I promise I don't put him to bed like this, but every single morning when I go pick him up this is his exact position! It is so funny. I cannot believe he can wiggle down that far :)

Pearce's first month

Wow, this month has really flown by! We are soooo enjoying Pearce, he is a real joy! It has been an exciting month, Pearce has ventured to both MiMi's houses (several times), church, Best Buy, KMart, WalMart, Kroger, Applebees, El Azteca, just to name a few. He also met his baby cousin Mary Catherine, who is 3 weeks older than he is and his future girlfriend Annie Glenn, who is the daughter of my best friend and college roommate, Carly David Winstead.

Everyone that sees him gushes over "how much he looks like his Momma". I think he does too...he is so cute!

I know everyone wants to see more pictures of him, so here is a link to a photo album that documents his first month of life :) Enjoy!

38 weeks and 92 degrees outside

I am 38 weeks today! Here is a picture of my huge stomach! These days are filled with ways to beat the heat! Laying under the ceiling fan, Peach milkshakes from Chick-fil-A, pool time and lots of indoor reading. I am still working somewhat....keeping in touch with all my sellers, and I acutally showed a house this morning. In fact, I have a closing 17 days after my due date (I hope I can go!)

According to my Dr. Pearce is still cooking, I'll let you know when he is "done".

Pearce's Nursery update

Here are a few more pictures of Pearce's nursery. John David's sister Julie made the beautiful bedding and matching window treatments. Isn't she so talented?

Fickling Shower for Pearce

Two Thursdays ago, my sweet co-workers at Fickling threw Pearce a baby shower. It was a lot of fun, and Pearce got lots of great gifts. I felt really bad because John David ended up being the only man there. He got the inside peek at what us ladies do at showers. I was really happy that he was able to come. Here are a few pictures from the shower.

A few more Nursery Pictures

Pearce's Nursery

We are working steadily on the Nursery trying to get ready for Pearce's arrival. Here are a few pictures to show our progress.

John David's sweet and talented sister Julie made the gown in the middle, she is also making all of Pearce's bedding and window treatments. She is an amazing seamstress. There will be more pictures of the bedding to follow. It is looking great!

We are checking off the list of items, painting closet doors, hanging light fixtures, and painting furniture. Only 57 days to go!!! Yay!!! We are both getting very excited. I also have my first shower this weekend and cannot wait :)

The first 7-8 months

We sure have had a very exciting first 7-8 months of pregnancy.

John David and I took our 1 year anniversary trip to Las Vegas the first week of November (2008). The entire time we were there I kept telling John David I was tired and was constantly asking if I could just lay down and rest for 15 minutes. When we came home that weekend I took 2 pregnancy tests and both came back positive. The next week we went to the doctor and sure enough, 7 weeks pregnant!!!! We were pretty surprised.

At the 19 week mark, we found out that we are having a baby boy!!! Soon we decided to name him Pearce Hauser. Pearce is my maiden name and Hauser is John David's grandfather's last name. At 21 weeks I was suprisingly awarded the Middle GA Association of Realtors Rookie of the Year and Fickling and Company's Rookie of the Year Award. Little Pearce was in attendance! I feel truely blessed and give all honor to the Lord in receiving this award. I certainly could not have made it through my first year in Real Estate without faith in the Lord.

At 26 weeks we traveled to Montgomery, AL to visit Jan and Jeff, John David's aunt and uncle. The next day we ventured further to Mobile to attend our dear friends Leslie and Nathan Jackson's wedding! We had a blast!! It was a great mini vacation for us!!!

Most recently we were selected to participate in a Best Buy benefits video. At 29 weeks, we traveled to Minneapolis, MN. The trip was amazing, but with lots of walking! We visited the Best Buy Corporate Headquarters, Mall of America and filmed a Best Buy benefits video. The shooting of the video was quite an experience complete with make-up, professional production crew and lights!!!

Today was my last doctor's visit before I begin going to the doctor every 2 weeks. We cannot believe that the pregnancy has gone by so fast! Only about 9.5 weeks left! He will be here before we know it.

Getting started!

John David and I thought it would be fun to blog about the upcoming birth of our son, Pearce Hauser Miller. His expected arrival date is June 30, 2009. We are very excited and cannot wait to meet him. We feel truly blessed to be future parents. I hope you enjoy!
