Pearce's first Christmas

This week MiMi's dear friend Mary Malone sent Pearce his first Christmas present. The tag said, "open when you get your tree up". On Monday we went down to the Farmer's Market and picked out our tree, that night we decorated it. I was so excited and ready for Pearce to wake up Tuesday morning so he could open his first present. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas so far.

Pearce's first Halloween!

Pearce had a very eventful Halloween week. We started off on Wednesday going to the church fall festival. He is obviously too small to do anything at any festival, but it is still fun to take him and stroll around!Pearce enjoying himself at the fall festival!

On Thursday afternoon we went to Portrait Innovations and had his picture taken with all the kids of the mothers in my Bible study. Wow! That was amazing! I think about half of them starting crying before it was over.

Friday we went to a Halloween playdate at the Fickling Farm and also a photo shoot by Miss Robin at work.

Today, Halloween day we went to the Jay's Hope Fall Festival, Strong Tower Fellowship Fall Festival and then to Halloween on Ridge Ave.! Wow we are tired! But we had fun, got a lot of great pics and made a lot of memories!

4 month check up

Today was Pearce's 4 month check up. He is 14 lbs 12 oz and 27 inches long! He is in the 50th percentile in weight and 97 percentile in height! We think he got the tall genes from John David's side of the family, his grandfather was 6'3"! John David says he hopes he doesn't get the nickname "Slim" haha!
He did great with his shots and has taken a few naps already today! Sweet boy!

Rice Cereal and Pumpkins

This past week Pearce had his first bite of rice cereal. He acutually really likes it! I had no idea what to expect, but I even had to get a bigger spoon while feeding him because the baby spoon was not getting enough in his mouth at one time and he was fussing!

This week will be full of Pumpkin fun. Today we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our carving pumpkins. One Wednesday we are going to the church fall festival and on Friday we are going to a Halloween playdate! Lots of fun!!!! Here are some recent picks.

Wow so much has happened

I cannot believe I haven't posted anything since August! Pearce is changing so much every day. He started rolling over last Friday, October 9th! When I wake up in the morning to get him out of his crib he is sleeping on his stomach! Oh well, there is no way now to keep him sleeping on his back. He loves to be on his tummy during the day as well. I lay him down on his back and when I turn around he is on his tummy just looking around!

Today I met Annette and Marvin to pick up the quilt she made for Pearce. It is so beautiful. I love the bright colors and Pearce loves it too. He spent forever just looking down at the vibrant colors! Here is a picture of him looking at it! So cute :)

I am going to get better about posting what is going on with the little guy! I promise.

Smiles and Sleeping

Pearce never ceases to amaze me! After lots of hoping and praying he finally slept through the night Saturday, August 22, one day before his 2 month birthday. I was so excited when I woke up and he was still sweetly sleeping! He is a pure joy and I love him so much! He also really turned on the smiles yesterday August 23rd!!! What a cutie!

Pearce Smiles

Here is the first documented photo of Pearce smiling. I have been working myself silly trying to get him to smile and finally he smiled long enough today for me to snap a few shots.

Today is August 19, 2009 and yesterday Pearce was 8 weeks old.
